Start practicing from a teacher's site
Create your free account on a teacher's site, follow them, and pick up every lesson from your Home in FlowChord.
Updated November 5, 2026
A teacher’s site is where most students meet FlowChord. When you create your account there, you keep practicing where you stopped, the teacher’s site is followed for you, and your Home in FlowChord gathers everything you practice. To know what the practice player does, read Practice a song from a teacher’s video.
Before you start
- The account is free and has no password: you sign in with a code sent to your email.
- FlowChord is in early access: the first time, the sign-up asks Have an invite code? Type your invite code and press Continue. No code yet? You can join the waitlist from the same screen.
- A new account practices 3 videos free, for good: the first ones it opens, on any teacher’s site. Every other video comes with the Student Plan — read The Student Plan.
Steps
Create your account on the teacher’s site
- On the teacher’s site, open a video and press play, or press Follow.
- When the sign-up asks, enter your email, then the code it sends you.
- You are back on the same video, at the same point, and the lesson goes on.
Follow the teacher
The site you signed up on is followed for you: its new videos show on your Home. To follow another teacher, press Follow on their site, or find them in Play — read Find videos and creators on Play. To stop, press Following on the site, or Unfollow on your Home. The videos you practiced stay with you either way.
Pick up from your Home
Open FlowChord: on any teacher’s site, while signed in, press your picture at the top and choose Open FlowChord (the same menu holds My clips and Log out). Then choose Home. Its Practicing part holds:
- Continue: the last video you practiced, at the point you left it.
- My videos: every video you practiced, the latest first. A video the teacher took off the site stays in the list, marked as gone.
- Your teachers: the teachers you follow and their videos, with the ones you have not seen marked.
- My clips: the parts you saved as clips, on every teacher’s videos.
- New from your creators: after Continue, the newest videos of the creators you follow, with the ones new to you counted. Press one to watch it in Play.
- Trending now: what students are practicing this week, and Featured creators. Open Play opens the whole feed. When you don’t follow anyone yet, a trending video plays at the top of the part instead.
Tips
- Opening a video you have not seen uses one of your free videos; a video you already opened stays open to you.
- FlowChord keeps where you are in each video and how long you practiced, while your account exists. You can download a copy of it with your data — read Download a copy of your data.
Common problems
My Home doesn’t show the teacher I signed up with. Reload the page. If they are still missing, open their site while signed in and press Follow.
