Problems signing in
What to do when the sign-in code doesn't arrive or isn't accepted, Google is missing, or FlowChord keeps asking you to sign in or to accept the terms.
Updated October 22, 2026
FlowChord has no passwords. You sign in with a code FlowChord sends to your e-mail, or with the Google, Apple or Instagram button (the Instagram button signs in with your Facebook account). The same sign-in works on the website and in the app. When it doesn’t go through, the reason is usually an e-mail that went to another folder, an old code, or the browser you are in.
Before you start
- FlowChord is in early access: the first time, it asks Have an invite code? Type your invite code and press Continue. No code yet? You can join the waitlist from the same screen.
- Use a real browser, not the one inside Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. See Check your browser.
Steps
To sign in with an e-mailed code:
- Type your e-mail address and press Continue.
- Open the e-mail from FlowChord.
- Type the code from that e-mail into the boxes.
- Press Verify.
Options
| Way to sign in | Good to know |
|---|---|
| Your e-mail and a code | Works in every browser. Each code is used once |
| The Google button (its logo) | Not offered inside the browsers of Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, because Google refuses to sign in there |
| The Apple button (its logo) | Uses your Apple account |
| The Instagram button (its logo) | Signs in through Facebook: it needs a Facebook account, and an Instagram account alone isn’t enough |
Tips
- Sign in the same way each time, so you always reach the same account and its projects.
- Add FlowChord’s e-mail address to your contacts so the codes don’t land in spam.
- Signing in on the website signs you in to the app too, and the other way round.
Common problems
The code doesn’t arrive
- Look in your spam, junk or promotions folder.
- Wait a minute: some e-mail services take a little while.
- Check the address you typed. If it’s wrong, press Change email and type it again.
- Press Resend code. After each send, the button counts down the seconds until you can press it again.
“That code is invalid or expired”
FlowChord says “That code is invalid or expired. Please request a new one.”. Codes stop working after a while, and only once each. Use the code from the most recent e-mail, or press Resend code to get a new one.
“Human verification failed”
Before sending a code, FlowChord runs a quick check that you are a person; it usually happens on its own. If you see “Human verification failed. Please try again.”, reload the page and try again. If it keeps failing, turn off extensions that block content on FlowChord, or try another browser.
Google isn’t offered
You are inside the browser of an app such as Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, where Google refuses to sign in. Open FlowChord in your phone’s own browser, or sign in with your e-mail, Apple or Instagram instead.
Signing in with Google, Apple or Instagram doesn’t finish
If FlowChord says “Sign-in is taking too long, please try again”, go back and try again. Make sure your browser doesn’t block the sign-in window. If it still doesn’t work, sign in with your e-mail and a code.
Your invite code isn’t accepted
FlowChord says “That code did not work, check it and try again”. Check the code letter by letter, without spaces. If it still doesn’t work, join the waitlist on the same screen, or write to the person who invited you.
You’re signed in on the website but not in the app
The website and the app share one sign-in. Reload the page. If you still look signed out, make sure your browser allows cookies for flowchord.studio, then sign in again.
FlowChord asks you to sign in again
If you see “Please log in again to continue”, your session ended, for example after signing out on another device or clearing the browser’s data. Sign in again: your projects and edits are saved.
FlowChord asks you to accept the terms
When the Terms of Service or the Privacy Policy change in a way that needs your agreement, FlowChord shows Our terms changed the next time you open it. Read the changes through the links, then press I agree to go on. Nothing else about your account changes.
