Your storage is full
Why FlowChord says your storage is full, what takes up space, and how to free some or get more room.
Updated October 22, 2026
Every FlowChord account has room to store the files of its projects. When that room is full, nothing new can be stored until you free some space: you can’t create a project or upload a file. Everything else keeps working. You can still open, edit, export and delete your projects.
Before you start
What counts toward your storage:
- The videos and audio files of your projects, after FlowChord made them smaller.
- Chord sheets, song covers, background photos and the pictures you place on your videos.
- Small files FlowChord keeps with each recording, like its preview picture and the shape of its sound.
What doesn’t count: the videos you export (they are saved on your device, not in FlowChord) and your profile picture.
Steps
To free space:
- Open the account menu and choose Storage. On a wide screen, you can also press the storage figure in the header.
- Look at the list under Projects by size: the projects that take the most space come first.
- On the row of a project you no longer need, press the trash button.
- Press Delete project to confirm.
- Go back to what you were doing and create the project, or choose the video again.
Deleting a project frees its space right away and can’t be undone.
Options
How much room you have depends on how you pay:
| How you pay | Storage |
|---|---|
| Pay as you go | 16 GB |
| Creator plan | 100 GB |
When you are close to your limit, the storage panel says A larger plan has more room with a link to See plans. See Monthly plans.
Tips
- Before you delete a project, export the cuts you want to keep. The MP4 files on your device are yours to keep, whatever happens to the project.
- The storage panel tells you about how many more projects like yours still fit, so you can see trouble coming.
- See Your storage for everything the storage panel shows.
Common problems
“Storage full” appears when you create a project
FlowChord checks for room before it starts, so you don’t wait through an upload that can’t finish. The Storage full window says how much the new project needs and how much is free. Press Manage storage, delete a project you no longer use, and create the project again. Your files stay picked in the form while you do this.
A project page says the files didn’t fit
The project shows Storage full. Press Manage storage to free some space, then come back and press Choose video again.
You deleted a project but the space didn’t come back
Its files are usually gone at once. If some take longer, the storage panel says how much is still being removed from deleted projects. Open the panel again in a few minutes.
Your plan ended or moved to a smaller one
Nothing is deleted. If what you store is now more than your room, the storage panel says how far over you are, and new uploads are refused until you free some space or choose a larger plan.
The header says “Storage unavailable”
FlowChord couldn’t read your storage just now. Press it to try again, or reload the page.
