Be found by students in FlowChord's showcase

Put your site in FlowChord's showcase so students find you in Play, set each video's level and preview, and answer the songs students ask for.

Updated November 5, 2026

FlowChord’s showcase is how students who don’t know you yet find you: your videos in Play, its search and its list of creators, with your card beside them and a Follow button. You choose to be in it, and you can leave whenever you like. Students also ask there for songs nobody has posted, and every creator sees what they asked for.

Before you start

  • Have your site up: the showcase shows sites that are published.
  • Have at least 3 videos students can practice on your site: published, with the practice player ready for them.
  • Give your brand its name and logo in Brand: your card shows them, with your brand’s colours.

Steps

Join the showcase

  1. Press Site in the bar, then Build.
  2. In the Appear in the showcase card, turn on the switch. The card saves itself and says Saved.
  3. Check What it asks: each line says whether it is done. Once your site is up with enough videos, the card says You’re in the showcase.

To leave, turn the switch off. Your site and your videos stay as they are; your card and your featured place in Play go. While Play shows every video because too few have been practiced to rank them, your videos and your brand stay among them, as they are on your site.

Fill in your card

Under the switch, say what students look for:

  • Styles: up to 2.
  • Lessons in: the languages your lessons are in.
  • Short bio: what you teach, in a line of up to 140 characters.

How you appear shows your card as students see it in Play. Students can filter Play’s search by style and language, so the card is how they find you.

Set a video’s level and preview

  1. On Build, in Videos, press In Play on the video.
  2. Under Level, pick who the video is for, or Not said.
  3. Under Preview starts at, write the time the preview starts at, like 0:45, or press From the start. Play shows 15 seconds from there, free: choose the moment that shows the lesson best.
  4. Press Save.

Answer students’ requests

  1. Press Site, then Requests. It lists the songs students looked for and didn’t find and how many asked. Every creator sees the same list.
  2. Choose the Order: Most requested or Newest. Listen opens the recording in a new tab.
  3. Press Will record on a song you will record: other creators and the students who asked see how many creators will record it. Hide takes a request off your list only. Undo takes either back.
  4. When you publish the video, open its In Play settings. Under Requests it answers, FlowChord lists the requests the song matches: tick the ones the video answers and press Save.

Everyone who asked for the song finds your video in their feed, marked as the song they asked for, and is told once by e-mail unless they turned that off. Several creators may record the same song.

Tips

  • Featured creators come first in Play and its list of creators. Each day, FlowChord draws them among the creators in the showcase who published a video in the last 30 days, giving more weight to more recent videos — never to followers or likes. The draw is the same for everyone that day, and the order changes every day.
  • Your card is also in the list of creators on FlowChord’s website, and leads to your site.
  • Students never appear by name or e-mail: a request shows the song and how many asked, never who.
  • Your own videos are never offered to you in Play’s lists. While Play shows every video, yours are among them in Videos, marked Yours.

What the showcase brings you

Students who arrive at your site from the showcase are counted as the showcase’s, not as your referrals. Your referral link doesn’t change, and a student who came through your site or your link first stays yours.

In the account menu, Earnings shows Where they came from: for your site, your invite and FlowChord showcase, the visits, followers, sign-ups and paying customers each brought, and whether it earns a commission. The showcase earns none — read The creator program and your earnings.

Common problems

The switch is on, but the card says You’ll appear once your site is up with enough videos. Your site isn’t up, or it has fewer than 3 videos students can practice. What it asks says which.

I’m in the showcase but never featured. Only creators who published a video in the last 30 days are drawn. Publish a new video.

A video says No student request matches this song. No open request matches its song. FlowChord matches the video’s title and artist, and the song identified in its project.

A request left the list. A request no video answered goes after 90 days, and a student may withdraw theirs.
